Meta is expanding its subscription business with Meta One, a broader paid-service platform that combines enhanced artificial intelligence capabilities with premium features across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. The launch marks another step in Meta’s effort to develop recurring revenue streams beyond advertising while turning AI into a product that users can pay to access at higher levels.
Meta One Expands Beyond Individual App Subscriptions
Meta One brings together more than 50 features across the company’s major consumer platforms and Meta AI. The service is being rolled out globally and already has 15 million subscriptions and trials following a phased introduction. Meta said its core app experiences and basic Meta AI access will remain free, while subscriptions will provide expanded usage and specialized capabilities.
For individual users, single-product plans include Instagram Plus at $3.99 per month, Facebook Plus at $3.99 and WhatsApp Plus at $2.99. Meta One Core costs $7.99 per month and combines those app-level benefits with greater access to AI tools, including additional image and video generation, enhanced Instagram creative features and voice effects. Premium costs $19.99 and provides higher usage levels across Meta’s AI and app ecosystem.
Creators and Businesses Get Higher-Priced AI Tools
The new structure also targets professional users. Creator and business plans start at $14.99 per month and include tools designed to help users establish a stronger presence, engage audiences and manage customers. Features include verified badges, impersonation protection and increased access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp.
Higher tiers add more professional functionality. The Advanced plan starts at $49.99 per month and includes scheduled publishing, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics and deeper audience insights. Expert starts at $149 per month, while the Max tier starts at $499, targeting teams with greater demands for features and Meta Business Agent capacity.
