The Americas therefore recorded a uniformly positive equity session across all six supplied equity benchmarks, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 delivering the strongest gains.

European equities also moved higher across every supplied major equity benchmark on September 17. The FTSE 100 gained 1.19% to 10,816.14, while the EURO STOXX 50 rose 0.90% to 6,322.90. Germany’s DAX increased 0.70% to 25,716.71.

Tel Aviv: Broad Gains With Strong Positive Breadth

Tel Aviv equities recorded broad gains on September 17. The TA-35 rose 1.02% to 4,289.98, while the TA-90 gained 0.48% to 3,789.66. The TA-125 increased 0.95% to 4,164.35.

Outlook for September 18: Regional Closures Reshape the Trading Session

September 18 will feature two important market closures relevant to the regional picture. The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange will be closed for a non-trading day, while the Santiago Stock Exchange in Chile will be closed for Independence Day. As a result, fresh price signals from these two markets will not be available during the session.

Markets that remain open will continue to focus on monetary-policy expectations, inflation data, economic indicators, corporate developments and geopolitical risks. Currency movements and changes in bond yields will also remain important as investors assess expectations for interest rates and broader financial conditions.

After the broad gains recorded across U.S. and European equities on September 17, investors will monitor whether positive momentum continues in markets that remain open. Asian market performance, currency movements, incoming economic data and geopolitical developments will provide additional signals for global risk appetite during the September 18 session.
