Trump Media & Technology Group is turning Truth Social data into a new source of revenue as the company seeks to expand beyond its core social-media business. The move is attracting attention because some of the platform’s most influential posts can affect financial markets, creating a sensitive intersection between social-media monetization, political communication and institutional trading.

Truth API Creates a New Revenue Stream for Trump Media

The company’s Truth API is designed to provide institutional customers with faster, machine-readable access to posts from influential Truth Social accounts. The service has been offered at prices of up to $100,000 per month, while customers agreeing to longer-term arrangements can receive different pricing. More than 10 customers have reportedly signed agreements, including financial firms interested in obtaining rapid access to the platform’s data.

The initiative gives Trump Media an opportunity to develop a recurring revenue stream beyond advertising and other traditional social-media activities. However, the scale of the business remains modest compared with the company’s broader financial position. Trump Media reported second-quarter revenue of approximately $1.7 million, compared with about $0.9 million a year earlier, while its net loss widened significantly to approximately $238.1 million. The API therefore represents a potentially important strategic development, even if its immediate contribution to overall revenue remains limited.

Why the Data Service Is Raising Market-Fairness Questions

The main concern centers on the speed and accessibility of information. President Donald Trump frequently uses Truth Social to communicate views and announcements that can affect stocks, bonds, currencies and expectations for government policy. Giving institutional customers structured and faster access to those posts could provide them with information before ordinary users receive or process the same content.

That dynamic has prompted questions about whether the service could create an information advantage for paying customers. Trump Media has characterized the offering as a conventional data product, emphasizing that the underlying posts are publicly available. Nevertheless, the unusual importance of Truth Social communications to financial markets makes the service more sensitive than a typical social-media data feed.

Trump Media Faces a Broader Test of Its Business Model

For investors, the Truth API highlights both the opportunities and challenges surrounding Trump Media’s efforts to diversify its operations. The company is exploring additional business areas while attempting to establish more sustainable revenue streams from its digital platforms and other assets.

For Israeli investors following US technology, media and financial markets, the development also illustrates the increasing commercial value of rapid access to market-moving information. Going forward, attention will focus on the number of API customers, recurring revenue generated by the service and any regulatory developments. The broader question is whether Trump Media can convert Truth Social’s significant political influence into sustainable commercial value while managing the market-fairness, regulatory and reputational risks associated with that strategy.
