Tel Aviv Market Rebounds Across Major Indices

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed Tuesday with a strong advance across its leading equity benchmarks. The TA-35 gained 1.67% to 4,130.05, while the TA-125 rose 1.80% to 3,999.51, bringing the broader index close to the 4,000-point level. The TA-90 outperformed both benchmarks, climbing 2.11% to 3,600.93.

The rally followed the modest gains recorded in the previous session and represented a stronger upward move across the market. All eight reported index groups finished higher, suggesting that buying extended beyond the largest listed companies.

The TA-20 also advanced, gaining 1.57% to 3,940.71. Although it recorded the smallest percentage increase among the listed indices, its positive close added to the session’s broad upward trend.

Market Breadth Signals Widespread Buying

The session’s advance was supported by strong market breadth. Within the TA-125, 111 securities rose compared with just 13 that declined. The TA-90 recorded 81 advancing securities and eight declining securities, while the TA-200 registered 172 gainers against 23 decliners.

The TA-SME60 increased 1.80% to 1,250.26, also recording positive breadth with 49 advancing securities and 10 declining securities. Meanwhile, the TA-90 and Banks index gained 2.25% to 3,840.58, the strongest percentage advance among the reported benchmarks. The TA-200 climbed 2.12% to 3,816.57, while the Sector-Balance index rose 2.16% to 4,553.22.

The combination of rising indices and a high number of advancing securities indicates that the rally was broad rather than limited to a handful of large-cap stocks. Whether this momentum continues will depend on subsequent trading sessions and the market’s ability to sustain participation across different segments.

Trading Activity Increases Across Stocks and Bonds

Stock turnover reached approximately NIS 4.49 billion, while bond turnover totaled around NIS 5.38 billion. The TA-125 recorded turnover of approximately NIS 3.36 billion, and the TA-200 generated about NIS 3.42 billion. The TA-35 recorded roughly NIS 2.51 billion in turnover.

The reported activity reflects substantial trading in both equities and fixed-income securities during the market’s advance. However, turnover figures alone do not establish whether the rally was driven by institutional demand, short covering, or other trading strategies.

Market participants will therefore need to assess whether the combination of strong breadth and active trading persists, particularly if the main indices continue approaching important round-number levels.

Electra Real Estate Advances as Camtek Declines

Individual stock movements remained mixed despite the broad market rally. Electra Real Estate rose 8.70% to 1,912, making it the strongest performer among the notable TA-125 fluctuations provided for the session. Camtek moved lower, falling 4.16% to 43,960.

The contrasting performances demonstrate that a rising market does not eliminate company-specific volatility. The available figures do not identify the reasons behind either stock’s movement, so further company disclosures would be needed to establish the underlying catalysts.

Elbit Systems also recorded notable trading activity, with turnover reported at approximately NIS 217.47 million. The figure highlights activity in the stock but does not, by itself, indicate the direction or motivation of investor positioning.

What Investors Should Watch Next

The next session will test whether the TA-125 can move decisively above 4,000 and whether the TA-35 can sustain its recovery above 4,100. Investors will also be watching the TA-90 around 3,601, alongside continued strength in the TA-200, SME60, and banking-related shares. Sustained positive market breadth and active turnover could support further gains, while a decline in advancing securities or renewed weakness in leading stocks could challenge the rally. The market’s ability to maintain broad participation will be a key indicator of whether Tuesday’s advance marks the beginning of a more durable recovery or a short-term rebound.
