The MSCI Europe advanced 0.56% to 2,722.70, and the CAC 40 climbed 0.50% to 7,866.65. The DAX added 0.32% to 25,341.37, while the FTSE 100 recorded a more modest increase of 0.06% to 10,657.07.

Major European Equity Benchmarks Move Higher
The Euronext 100 recorded the strongest advance among the listed equity indexes, followed closely by the EURO STOXX 50. The MSCI Europe and CAC 40 also posted solid gains, while the DAX rose moderately.
The FTSE 100 lagged the broader market, adding just 0.06%. European Private Equity was the only listed equity-related index to finish slightly lower.
The results reflected a broadly positive session, with six major equity benchmarks advancing and only a marginal decline in the private equity index.
European Currencies Strengthen
Currency indexes also moved higher on October 14. The PHLX Euro rose 0.42% to 112.01, while the PHLX British Pound gained 0.33% to 132.55.
Both currencies advanced alongside the region’s equity markets, contributing to a positive overall performance across the supplied European market indicators.
Outlook
European markets enter the next session following another broadly positive day for equities and currencies. The Euronext 100 and EURO STOXX 50 led the major equity benchmarks, while the FTSE 100 recorded the smallest gain.
Investors will monitor whether the upward momentum continues and whether the more modest performance of the FTSE 100 improves. Currency indexes will also remain in focus after both the euro and pound strengthened during the session.
