Tel Aviv equities are trading mostly higher, marking a notable shift from the broad declines seen in the previous session. Six of the eight listed benchmarks are advancing, while market breadth has improved substantially across the major indices, suggesting that buying interest is more broadly distributed than during the previous session.

Major Tel Aviv Indices Recover

The TA-35 is edging 0.08% higher at 4,279.46 points. Market breadth is moderately positive, with 20 securities advancing compared with 16 declining. The limited index gain indicates that the benchmark is relatively stable, while the positive breadth suggests that more constituents are participating in the upward move.

The TA-90 is performing more strongly, rising 0.42% to 3,948.06 points. A total of 58 securities are advancing, compared with 27 declining. This represents a significant improvement in breadth compared with the previous session and indicates stronger participation across the benchmark.

The TA-125 is also higher, gaining 0.13% to 4,194.88 points. Its breadth is clearly positive, with 78 advancing securities against 43 declining. The combination of a positive index move and broader participation provides a stronger indication of market improvement than the relatively modest percentage gain alone.

Banking and Broader Market Shares Gain

Banking shares are among the better-performing areas of the market. The TA 90 and Banks Index is up 0.47% at 4,175.59 points, with 63 securities advancing and 27 declining. The positive breadth indicates that the upward move is supported by broad participation within the index.

The TA-200 is also advancing, rising 0.27% to 4,119.31 points. Its market breadth is positive, with 108 securities gaining compared with 77 declining. This suggests that the recovery extends beyond the largest benchmarks and into a wider group of Tel Aviv-listed securities.

The TA Sector-Balance Index is up 0.15% at 4,837.94 points, with 63 advancing securities and 34 declining. The figures point to generally constructive participation across sectors.

Trading turnover is substantial across the major benchmarks. The TA-200 records approximately NIS 403.6 million, while the TA-125 records approximately NIS 391.1 million. The TA Sector-Balance Index records approximately NIS 377.2 million, followed by the TA-35 with approximately NIS 319.8 million. TA-20 turnover stands at approximately NIS 260.9 million, while the TA 90 and Banks Index records approximately NIS 185.0 million. TA-90 records approximately NIS 71.3 million, and TA-SME60 records approximately NIS 16.2 million.

Small- and Mid-Cap Shares Show Mixed Performance

The TA-SME60 is gaining 0.18% at 1,382.46 points, although its breadth is almost evenly balanced. There are 26 advancing securities compared with 28 declining. The modest index gain therefore comes without a clear majority of advancing constituents, suggesting that performance within the small- and mid-cap segment remains mixed.

The TA-20 is the only other listed benchmark in negative territory, declining 0.06% to 4,151.78 points. Its breadth is also negative, with nine advancing securities and 11 declining. The small decline indicates relative stability, but the underlying participation remains slightly weaker than in most of the other major benchmarks.

What to Watch as Trading Continues

Investors will be watching whether the improvement in market breadth can persist as trading continues, particularly across the TA-90, TA-125, TA-200 and banking shares. A sustained combination of rising indices and positive breadth would provide a stronger indication that the market is recovering from the previous session’s broad selling pressure. Conversely, a deterioration in breadth or renewed weakness in the TA-20 and TA-SME60 could point to continued selectivity among investors. Trading turnover, banking performance, broader global equity-market conditions and changes in risk appetite will remain important factors in determining whether the current positive tone develops into a more durable recovery across Tel Aviv equities.
