Tel Aviv financial markets are trading with a moderately constructive tone, although performance remains mixed across the major benchmarks. The TA-90 is leading the advance with a 0.74% gain, while the TA-125, TA-200 and TA-SME60 are also higher. At the same time, the TA-35 is almost unchanged and the TA-20 is lower, indicating that investors are showing greater interest in selected mid-cap, banking and broader-market shares rather than moving uniformly across the market.

TA-90 Leads as Broader Equity Market Breadth Improves

The TA-35 is almost unchanged at 4,138.33 points, with a decline of 0.01%. Its internal participation is relatively balanced, with 18 advancing securities compared with 17 declining securities. The narrow difference between advancing and declining securities indicates that the flagship benchmark is experiencing limited directional pressure, despite stronger moves elsewhere in the market.

The broader TA-125 has gained 0.12% to 4,061.54 points. Market breadth is clearly positive, with 79 advancing securities compared with 45 declining securities. The positive breadth indicates that the modest benchmark gain is supported by a relatively broad group of constituents rather than being driven exclusively by a small number of large-cap shares.

Mid-cap equities are showing significantly stronger momentum. The TA-90 has risen 0.74% to 3,822.85 points, with 61 advancing securities compared with 28 declining securities. The combination of a strong index gain and positive breadth suggests that buying interest is extending across a substantial portion of the mid-cap segment.

Smaller listed companies are also advancing. The TA-SME60 has gained 0.42% to 1,330.08 points, with 40 advancing securities compared with 14 declining securities. This positive participation indicates that risk appetite is not limited to the largest companies and is extending into small- and mid-cap equities.

The TA-200 has advanced 0.34% to 3,979.93 points. Its breadth is particularly strong, with 124 advancing securities compared with 65 declining securities. The data provides further evidence that the current positive tone is relatively broad across the Tel Aviv equity market.

Banking and Sector Shares Strengthen the Market

The TA-90 and Banks Index is among the stronger major benchmarks, gaining 0.67% to 4,041.37 points. Its internal participation is strongly positive, with 66 advancing securities compared with 28 declining securities. The combination of price appreciation and positive breadth indicates that banking and financial shares are contributing meaningfully to the broader market advance.

The TA Sector-Balance Index has also moved higher, gaining 0.17% to 4,686.35 points. Market breadth is positive, with 64 advancing securities compared with 34 declining securities. The figures suggest that the improvement extends across multiple sectors rather than being concentrated in one particular area.

The TA-20 is the main negative exception among the listed benchmarks, declining 0.18% to 4,001.92 points. Its internal breadth is slightly positive, however, with 11 advancing securities compared with nine declining securities. The divergence between the index performance and its internal breadth highlights the influence that individual constituents can have on benchmark movements.

Trading activity remains substantial across the market. Turnover stands at approximately ₪298.2 million in the TA-35, ₪417.5 million in the TA-125 and ₪423.5 million in the TA-200. The TA-90 and Banks Index has recorded approximately ₪210.0 million in turnover, while the TA Sector-Balance Index has reached approximately ₪392.9 million. These figures indicate that investors remain actively engaged as market leadership shifts toward broader and mid-cap segments.

Broader Market Participation Provides a Constructive Signal

The overall structure of the Tel Aviv market is more constructive than a simple reading of the nearly unchanged TA-35 might suggest. The TA-90 is gaining 0.74%, while the TA-SME60 and TA-200 are also higher, and advancing securities substantially outnumber declining securities in these broader benchmarks.

The positive breadth across the TA-125 is particularly relevant, with 79 advancing securities versus 45 declining securities. Similarly, the TA-200 shows 124 advancing securities against 65 declining securities. These figures indicate that the market’s positive performance is supported by broad participation.

The strength of the banking segment also adds to the constructive picture. The 0.67% gain in the TA-90 and Banks Index, combined with 66 advancing securities against 28 declining securities, suggests that financial shares are participating actively in the current move.

At the same time, the near-flat performance of the TA-35 and decline in the TA-20 show that the market is not experiencing a uniform rally. Investors appear to be differentiating between segments, with mid-cap, banking and broader-market equities currently showing stronger momentum.

Outlook: Investors Monitor Whether Broader Participation Can Continue

Looking ahead, investors will monitor whether the positive breadth across the TA-90, TA-125, TA-200 and TA-SME60 can translate into sustained upward momentum. Continued strength in mid-cap and banking shares would reinforce the current improvement in risk appetite, while a broader recovery in the TA-35 could provide additional confirmation that gains are spreading into the largest companies. The TA-20 also warrants attention because its decline contrasts with the broader positive market tone. Trading activity, institutional flows, global equity-market direction, interest-rate expectations and developments affecting Israeli companies will remain important factors. For now, the data points to a cautiously constructive Tel Aviv market, characterized by strong participation across broader equity benchmarks and notable strength in mid-cap and banking shares, despite limited movement in the flagship TA-35.
