Wall Street’s latest analyst calls are placing renewed attention on some of the market’s most closely followed growth companies, with AI semiconductors, private-space exposure, streaming, cryptocurrency and biotechnology featuring prominently. The research activity comes at a sensitive point for U.S. equities, as investors prepare for Nvidia’s earnings report and assess whether elevated technology valuations can continue to be supported by fundamental growth.

AI Semiconductor Stocks Remain at the Center of Analyst Attention

The strongest concentration of analyst activity was in the semiconductor sector. Raymond James upgraded AMD from Outperform to Strong Buy and raised its price target to $641, citing expectations for stronger demand for server CPUs associated with agentic AI workloads. The firm also highlighted the growing role of CPUs in coordinating AI accelerators and data-intensive workloads.

Meanwhile, Nvidia remains the central catalyst for the AI trade ahead of its August 26 earnings report. Wall Street expects Nvidia to report approximately $92.06 billion in quarterly revenue and $2.09 in earnings per share, according to current earnings estimates. Marvell, which reports the following day, is also receiving increased analyst attention as investors assess demand for networking and custom-chip infrastructure supporting AI data centers.

Analyst Interest Broadens Beyond Semiconductors

The day’s research activity extended beyond chip stocks, reflecting the increasingly diverse nature of growth-oriented market exposure. SpaceX remains a closely watched name following its public-market debut and subsequent volatility, while Netflix continues to attract analyst scrutiny as investors assess subscriber growth, advertising monetization and competitive pressures in global streaming.

In digital assets, Coinbase remains particularly sensitive to cryptocurrency prices, regulatory developments and institutional adoption. Meanwhile, analyst activity surrounding Moderna highlights the biotechnology sector’s dependence on clinical outcomes and pipeline development. Such varied research calls demonstrate that investors are increasingly differentiating between individual corporate catalysts rather than relying solely on broad technology-sector momentum.

Valuations and Macro Risks Remain Important

The constructive tone of several analyst calls should not be interpreted as a uniform market signal. The concentration of investor attention around AI-related companies has also increased sensitivity to earnings expectations, valuation multiples and capital-expenditure assumptions. Marvell, for example, enters its August 27 earnings report after substantial gains earlier in the year, increasing the potential for significant market reactions if guidance fails to meet elevated expectations.

For Israeli investors, these developments are relevant because U.S. technology and growth equities represent a significant component of global portfolio exposure. Currency movements between the U.S. dollar and Israeli shekel, alongside global interest rates and geopolitical risk, can materially affect returns for Israeli investors with international allocations.
