Tel Aviv financial markets are trading with a positive tone across the major equity benchmarks, led by a 0.78% gain in the TA-35. The TA-125 is also advancing 0.66%, while the TA-90 is gaining 0.17%, although the internal structure of several indices remains mixed. At the same time, fixed-income markets are facing modest pressure, creating a divergence between stronger equity performance and weaker broad bond-market indicators.

TA-35 Leads Equity Gains as Major Benchmarks Advance

The TA-35 has gained 0.78% to 4,191.37 points, making it the strongest performer among the major headline equity benchmarks. Internal participation is positive, with 24 advancing securities compared with 10 declining securities and two unchanged securities. The breadth suggests that the gain is supported by participation from a meaningful portion of large-cap companies rather than being driven exclusively by a small number of constituents.

The broader TA-125 has advanced 0.66% to 4,059.92 points. However, its internal market structure is more balanced, with 59 advancing securities compared with 63 declining securities and four unchanged securities. The limited difference between advancing and declining securities indicates that the index gain does not yet represent broad-based strength across the entire market.

Mid-cap equities are also moving higher, although the gain is more moderate. The TA-90 has risen 0.17% to 3,648.80 points, with 35 advancing securities compared with 53 declining securities and two unchanged securities. The negative breadth suggests that investors remain selective toward mid-cap companies despite the benchmark’s positive performance.

The combined TA-90 and Banks Index has gained 0.57% to 3,905.33 points. Internal participation remains mixed, with 40 advancing securities compared with 53 declining securities and two unchanged securities. While the index is benefiting from the broader equity advance, the market breadth indicates that gains are not evenly distributed among banking and financial companies.

Value Stocks Show Relative Strength as Market Breadth Remains Mixed

The TA-125 Value Index has advanced 0.61% to 4,036.37 points. Unlike several other major benchmarks, its internal breadth is slightly positive, with 29 advancing securities compared with 27 declining securities. The figures indicate relatively balanced investor participation and suggest that value-oriented companies are showing some resilience within the current trading environment.

The TA Sector-Balance Index has gained 0.65% to 4,576.25 points, although its internal participation remains slightly negative. The index includes 47 advancing securities compared with 49 declining securities and four unchanged securities. This indicates that the sector-level advance is relatively broad but remains characterized by a close balance between buying and selling activity.

Equity turnover has reached approximately ₪745 million, demonstrating substantial market participation and liquidity. The combination of rising headline indices and significant trading activity indicates that investors are actively adjusting positions rather than remaining on the sidelines.

The current market structure therefore reflects a selective equity advance. Large-cap stocks are providing stronger support to the major benchmarks, while mid-cap and sector-level breadth remains less convincing. The relatively positive performance of value stocks provides an additional constructive signal, although it is not yet accompanied by uniformly positive breadth across the market.

Bond Markets Move Lower as Equity Activity Remains Strong

Fixed-income markets are showing a less supportive picture than equities. The All-Bond Index has declined 0.06% to 432.47 points, with 57 advancing securities compared with 250 declining securities and 268 unchanged securities. The negative breadth indicates that weakness extends across a substantial portion of the broad bond market.

The Short-Term Bond Index has moved in the opposite direction, gaining 0.01% to 477.65 points. The index recorded 36 advancing securities compared with 13 declining securities and 26 unchanged securities. The modest gain suggests continued stability in shorter-duration fixed-income assets despite the broader decline in the All-Bond Index.

Inflation-linked bonds are showing mixed but generally weaker performance. The Tel Bond A Inflation-Linked Index is unchanged at 439.33 points, with 11 advancing securities compared with 14 declining securities and 54 unchanged securities. The Tel Bond 60 Inflation-Linked Index has declined 0.08% to 428.73 points, with only five advancing securities compared with 44 declining securities and 11 unchanged securities.

Bond-market turnover has reached approximately ₪842 million, exceeding the equity-market turnover of approximately ₪745 million. The high level of activity indicates that investors remain highly engaged in fixed-income markets even as broad bond indices experience modest declines.

Outlook: Investors Watch Whether Equity Gains Can Broaden

Looking ahead, investors will focus on whether the strength in the TA-35 and TA-125 can translate into broader participation across the Tel Aviv equity market. A sustained improvement in market breadth, particularly within the TA-90 and other broader benchmarks, would strengthen the case for a more durable equity advance. At the same time, the weakness across the All-Bond Index and Tel Bond 60 will remain important to monitor as investors assess interest-rate expectations and fixed-income valuations. Institutional flows, global equity-market trends, corporate earnings, interest-rate developments and sector-specific performance are likely to remain key drivers. For now, Tel Aviv markets reflect a differentiated environment in which major equity indices are gaining while internal breadth remains mixed and bond markets face modest pressure. The sustainability of the equity advance will depend on whether buying interest expands beyond selected large-cap and value-oriented companies.
