Global Markets Snapshot – Data from April 9, 2025

📈 United States (Americas):
U.S. indices continue to show strong performance, with the S&P 500 up by +9.52%, the Nasdaq leading with +12.16%, and the Dow Jones up +7.87%. Small-cap stocks also gained, with the Russell 2000 increasing +8.66%.
Meanwhile, market volatility dropped significantly, as reflected by the VIX, which fell -35.75%.

🇨🇦 In Canada, the S&P/TSX Composite Index rose +5.42%, and in Brazil, the IBOVESPA advanced by +3.12%.
The US Dollar Index slightly declined by -0.22%.

📉 Europe:
European markets are under pressure across the board. The FTSE 100 declined -2.92%, CAC 40 lost -3.34%, and the DAX was down -3.00%.
The broader EURO STOXX 50 and Euronext 100 also dropped more than -3%.
